Yukon Learn Society (YLS) is seeking a Curriculum Developer to research, develop, and maintain effective digital literacy curricula. This role focuses on beginner-level topics, for things such as cyber security, Microsoft Office, and smart devices.

As the Curriculum Developer, you will create innovative educational content for Yukon Learn Society instructors and volunteers to follow. Focusing on improving digital literacy among adult learners, your role will involve researching educational trends, imagining new curriculum, and refining existing materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with staff to facilitate a dynamic learning environment that empowers individuals across the Yukon to thrive in a digital age.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain beginner and intermediate-level digital literacy curricula.

Create and review instructional materials and resources.

Plan and organize lessons in technology and digital literacy.

Provide group and one-on-one instruction as needed.

Collaborate with other YLS instructors and partners.

Stay current with the latest technologies and trends.

Participate in yearly fundraising activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education, technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience in instruction and program coordination an asset.

Experience with Kahoot learning tools an asset.

Strong knowledge of technology and adult literacy issues.

Proficiency in beginner-level cyber security, Microsoft Office and popular devices.

Conditions of Employment:

Completion of a Criminal Record Check.

Travel to Yukon Communities as needed.
