OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Director, Learning and Development, this is an exciting opportunity for a driven Learning and Development Specialist to join a high impact, high performing team. The Learning and Development Specialist will support the design, development, pilot, delivery and evaluation of innovative learning programs. Working with cross-functional talent stakeholders, this individual will execute on the L&D strategies that align with our strategic goals and help us create a high-performance culture where employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed and thrive.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and deliver effective and engaging training programs using a variety of learning methods (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, job aids, virtual, assessments, infographics, etc.).
  • Based on quantitative and qualitative assessments, make recommendations for when learning will address needs and when it will not, and build compelling business cases for the right learning programming based on research.
  • Contributing to broader Learning and Development strategy by conducting needs analysis surveys and prioritizing training needs for individuals across all Firm roles.
  • Use a coaching approach to liaise with subject matter experts including internal and external stakeholders to support the creation of content.
  • Applies creative thinking and change management principles to the development of innovative solutions to problems.
  • Support the sourcing, implementation and maintenance of a Learning Management System, as well as other tools or platforms to drive the execution of Vision 2027.
  • Develop and maintain a strong interpersonal network within Fengate, as a culture champion of the HR team.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development or related field.​
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Adult Education, Instructional Design or the equivalent is an asset.
  • 2-5 years of experience in human resources, with experience in learning and development​.
  • Proven knowledge and application of adult learning principles and instructional principles and/or methodologies.
  • Skillful in communicating with and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills​.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
