What can I expect to do in this role?In this role, you will:
• Lead, coordinate and participate in projects to conceptualize, develop and recommend strategies and policy options
• Participate in strategic planning, analyze emerging issues, provide sound policy advice and make recommendations
• Oversee all aspects of project planning and management, including establishing timelines and deliverables, managing consultant procurement and reviewing work
• Develop consultation processes and manage relationships with stakeholders for consultation, advice and collaboration.

How do I qualify?Research, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills• You have research experience, including quantitative and qualitative analysis and modeling, to conduct environment and trends scans, analysis of best practices and analysis of options and impacts
• You can assess new or changed policies and evaluate proposals for impact on infrastructure policy and planning
• You can analyze proposals and competing interests of stakeholders to develop policy options/ solutions, resolve identified concerns, and promote best practices

Technical Knowledge• You have extensive experience with policy development processes, policy analysis and have knowledge of ministry strategic directions to develop policy options and outreach strategies
• You have knowledge of theories, principles and methodologies of government capital planning, asset management, procurement and delivery for large public infrastructure projects and economic theory in a policy and planning environment

Interpersonal and Communication Skills• You have consultation skills to gain support for infrastructure planning policy and resolve emerging issues
• You have consensus-building and relationship skills to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders and to address diverse needs
• You have experience working in a team environment and delivering projects dependent on successful collaboration
• You have facilitation and presentation skills to explain policy and program recommendations
• You have written communication skills to prepare reports, papers, speeches, briefing materials and correspondence

Project Management Skills• You have project management skills to lead and participate in projects and conceptualize strategic policy options
