Demand Suppler Planner – Food Manufacturing
Employment Type: Full-Time

Our Client is looking for an experienced Demand Supply Planner to join our fast-paced food manufacturing team in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving accurate demand forecasting, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting effective production planning to ensure uninterrupted product availability. This role plays a critical part in aligning cross-functional teams—including Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance—to support business goals, improve service levels, and minimize supply chain risks.

Develop, maintain, and refine demand forecasts using historical data, market insights, customer trends, and promotional activities.
• Lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes by preparing forecasts, reporting variances, and presenting actionable recommendations.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple product lines to balance service targets, working capital, and production efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze key supply chain metrics, including forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory turns, and service levels.
• Collaborate closely with Production Planning to ensure feasible and efficient schedules aligned with capacity constraints and material availability.
• Identify and mitigate potential supply risks, shortages, or capacity bottlenecks, and communicate proactive solutions to stakeholders.
• Work with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging components, considering lead times and supplier constraints.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting processes, demand planning tools, and overall supply chain performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal partners to facilitate smooth information flow and operational alignment.

3–5+ years of supply planning, demand planning, or forecasting experience within the food manufacturing or CPG industry.
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field is an asset
• Strong understanding of production processes, shelf-life considerations, cold chain requirements, and food industry regulatory constraints.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar) and advanced Excel skills; experience with demand planning software is an asset.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-interpretation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
