ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Indigenous Accreditation Coordinator is a member of HSO’s Accreditation Canada team. In this role you are responsible for supporting the Indigenous Accreditation Program. You will employ a strengths-based approach to help build the capacity of clients to plan for accreditation, to prepare for the onsite visit by surveyors, to provide post-survey support and to co-ordinate education programs. You can take joy in working alongside other dedicated and compassionate team members across Accreditation Canada and Health Standards Organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support Indigenous-led organizations with their accreditation survey processes from end-to-end to respond to the unique needs of the clients through a deep understanding of the application of standards to their needs.
  • Support the Indigenous Accreditation team to become proficient in the planning and implementation of the survey process that is focused on quality while working efficiently to meet annual objectives.
  • Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate the Indigenous Accreditation Program and represent the program internally and with external partners and funders.
  • Cultivate working relationships with associations and funder partners who support the Indigenous accreditation program and process.
  • Support the collation of data and insights into an annual report for the funders of Indigenous accreditation.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of Indigenous cultural safety and humility either through lived experience or extensive learning. Applications from Indigenous candidates are encouraged.
  • University degree, or equivalent experience, in a related field, such as Healthcare or Social Services.
  • Record of accelerated learning and taking on increasingly responsible roles
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify root causes of challenges and develop effective solutions in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated adeptness in a fast-paced environment, comfortable in using Mircorsoft applications and digital technology.

  • Are familiar with our Accreditation Canada Qmentum program and accreditation process.
  • A leadership style orientation to empathetic, team-oriented working relationships
  • Comfortable to support oneself and others in changing management.
