Salary Range : $ 145,000 CAD to $ 155,000 CAD
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Commercial Property Management for Canada, this is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the Property Management team in Vancouver as a Director of Commercial Property Management. The Property Management department’s primary objective is to serve the tenants within the Canadian Commercial Portfolio. This is completed through a variety of avenues, including building & site maintenance and performance. Manage day to day operations for an assigned portfolio of commercial properties
Develop strong relationships with your subordinates, tenants, contractors, strata’s, and vendors
Manage and provide direction to staff, which may include, but is not limited to administrators, property managers, and site staff
Conduct site visits with property managers and site staff
Review leases, licenses, contracts and agreements as required
Ensure monthly service contracts are in place and are being completed in a timely professional manner
Review and ensure that all building and site maintenance is in accordance with the Company’s standard
When needed, assist and help manage tenant improvements
Manage annual budgeting process for the portfolio
Work closely with the Accounting, Development, Leasing and Construction team on various projects
A/R collection duties as required, assist with capital projects and capital planning.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive commercial real estateexperience working directly for a landlord or third party management company
Must be technology/computer proficient
Have a good understanding of both the operational and financial aspect of commercial property management
Must have a valid BC driver's license and a reliable vehicle available on a daily basis
Good understanding of building systems and overall construction
Experience with varied asset classes (office, industrial, retail, mixed used and air space parcels) is a benefit
