Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director, Laboratory Medicine

Job Description
The Administrative Assistant is directly accountable to the Executive Director, Laboratory Medicine of the Saskatchewan Health Authority and provides administrative support in a one-on-one working relationship. This position supports, and contributes to, processes and practices to support the efficient operation of the Executive Director, Laboratory Medicine portfolio, through accurate, timely and efficient execution of administrative support functions. The incumbent works closely, in a collaborative and cooperative manner, with all members of the Senior Leadership Team, and their support staff, to assist in accomplishing the Saskatchewan Health Authority's objectives. The incumbent co-ordinates workflow with other administrative support staff in the Executive Office and at the Executive Director level and, in their absence, may provide support services as requested.
Job Qualifications- Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade XII supplemented by a recognized business course
- Experience: Three to five years of experience working in a senior administrative assistant-type role.

- Excellent computer skills, with a good working knowledge of various programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Schedule Plus, Visio, Intranet/Internet, and the capability to learn new programs as required
- Exceptional planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Expert written and verbal communication skills including excellent proficiency in editing material for clarity, accuracy and conciseness
- Knowledge and experience in minute taking and synthesizing information
- Possesses a high degree of initiative, ingenuity, including the ability to work with little, and/or no, supervision
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality including handling confidential information with discretion
