Canada The Shelf Influencer Marketing Agency Full time

🚀 Join The Shelf as our Talent Partnerships Manager 🚀

Who We Are

The Shelf is a full-service influencer marketing agency with our own proprietary SaaS platform. We use our in-house software to plan, execute, manage and optimize our clients’ influencer marketing campaigns start to finish. The start of our campaigns is where you come in, because you will be in charge of casting campaigns for a set of our clients (primarily on Instagram and TikTok).

This is a remote position. You will be working during typical business hours remotely and interacting virtually with our team and clients on the regular so get ready for some facetime on Google Hangouts Despite this being a remote position, our expectations are no different than if we had an office. We are a small team and each person’s efforts are crucial to our success. We care about our clients and ask that you bring that same level of care to the table. If you are someone who takes initiative, loves all things influencer marketing, and knows how to WOW a client, then The Shelf might be your next home.

REQUIREMENT: The Shelf is a fast-paced agency environment. We’re seeking individuals who bring both agency and influencer marketing specific experience. You must also be comfortable and confident in a client-facing role.

Overview of the Role

As a Talent Partnerships Manager, you’ll be in charge of setting up the foundation for success on our client campaigns, including influencer discovery, outreach, negotiations and contracting talent—especially relationship building in the respective influencer community. You’ll need to be the type that possesses the creative eye for content and keen awareness of social trends as our clients are continuously looking to stay relevant. That said, you’ll need the ability to act fast, but also the flexibility to shift direction when needed. As we know, social changes roll out rapidly, so we’re looking for someone who takes the initiative to do the research and become well versed in various platforms.

We’re also looking for someone charismatic and capable of pitching influencers to brands. We take pride in our meticulous approach, prioritizing influencers who genuinely align with our clients' brand values and mission. Above all, much of our pride comes from discovering influencers who effortlessly blend creativity with authenticity. In other words, the perfect fusion that resonates with our clients' vision.

What You'll Be Up To

👩🏽‍💻 You’ll be working closely with several of our internal teams, including the account managers, our strategy team, and our engineering team as our expert of influencer search and sourcing.

🔎 You’ll design a variety of searches that target our strategies and use those to find the best-fit influencers for our clients.

💰 You’ll be on the front lines of various negotiations, both over the phone and email. Speaking the language with all size talents (including VIP and celebrities) will be a key part of this role.

✔️ You’ll be vetting social profiles for demographic fits and brand safety to come up with your short list of influencers.

📝You’ll back up our influencer recommendations with performance metrics and describe how creative will come to life with each casting.

🎤 You’ll be looped into feedback calls with the client to further chat through the data.

🎬 And that’s basically it.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related influencer marketing, agency, or management.
  • Experienced in finding, engaging, and working with influencers to hit campaign and business goals.
  • Preference to cultivate strong, long-term relationships with influencers and managers; know the value of a phone call over an email.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills preferred, with a proven track record of successful deals and partnerships.
  • Exceptional teamwork and proactive written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling outreach materials, pitch decks, and presentations.
  • Natural eye for visual composition. Ability to objectively assess strengths and weaknesses of content while also identifying areas for improvement and understand how to fine-tune to achieve the desired result.
  • Proficient in researching and analyzing performance trends, market data, and demographic insights.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in using various platforms, including social platforms and Airtable, and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies, such as The Shelf’s proprietary Saas platform.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changes and evolving strategies.
