The West Vancouver Permits & Inspections Department is currently seeking a temporary full-time Permits Clerk to perform a variety of clerical support duties.


Diverse clerical duties involving receiving, classifying and processing permit applications;
Providing information to the public pertaining to building/trade permit applications;
Answering phones and emails to direct the public to the appropriate District personnel;
Desirable training and experience includes:
Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by post secondary courses/certificates in office administration;
Experience and/or training in computer and word processing systems and data base maintenance;
Experience with Prospero Land or equivalent electronic permit tracking system would be considered an asset;
Familiarity with building permits processes and construction terms and stages would be considered an asset;
Ability to read architectural plans would be considered an asset; Familiarity with bylaws and regulations such as zoning and/or building regulations would be considered an asset.

64 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits
