What you’ll be doing

The Sr. Analyst Special Investigations is accountable for reviewing complex residential mortgage / real estate secured applications received from credit adjudication team, internal partners, and auditors for all channels in a timely and effective manner.

The incumbent will review standard and complex applications adjudicated by Credit Adjudication which include (but not limited to) multiple rentals, progress draws, purchase plus improvements, aboriginal loans, and special programs. Act as a consultant for underwriters, adjudication leaders and partners. Monitor credit adjudication and compliance reports for specific irregularities being monitored and review findings with the Senior Manager and Consultant monthly. Provide specialized advice and guidance on company policy, procedures, and security value estimates. You’re flexible to work our business hours which may include evenings and weekends.

How you’ll succeed

  • Prioritize and organize requests and documentation - Manage day-to-day operation / production activities and process improvement in the delivery of services.
  • Results Oriented - Perform and resolve difficult or complex departmental procedures or problems, including appropriate inter-departmental or external communications to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Attention to detail  - Establish and maintain a communication and escalation process to respond to issues reported by customers, vendors, internal and external business partners.
  • Risk management - Manage risk within department and ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and controls to minimize losses and support adherence to completeness and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Systems – COINS, CLASS, LCMS, mMTG (Petra), Simplii Target, ICBS, FNF, Emiliweb, Outlook, Excel.
  • Strong communication skills ( Bilingualism is an asset) – Demonstrate well developed writing and visual presentation skills sufficient to articulate analytic results, options, and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of retail real estate lending.
