Warranty Manager

The role of the Warranty Manager will provide strong leadership and guidance to the single family teams. This position has oversight of all aspects related to the warranty process and the day-to-day operations.

What You Will Do :

  • Provide exemplary service to customers who have taken possession of their homes.
  • With strong mentorship, you will enable staff to resolve customer concerns through accurate analysis and timely cost effective solutions, while adhering to Homes by Avi’s corporate policies and philosophies.
  • Working with our warranty coordinators, technicians and trade partners, you will ensure all outstanding deficiencies are completed in a timely manner, within budget and with the highest quality result.
  • Identify and develop preventative measures to reduce incident/problem re-occurrence
  • Create warranty related policies, procedures, work instructions and promote their effective and efficient application within the warranty team.
  • Provide clear communication to your team, warranty coordinators, trade partners and customers.

Your Qualifications – The Must Have's

  • 10+ years of experience in construction/warranty or in a related role.
  • Expert knowledge of building processes and practices.
  • A solid understanding of Alberta New Home Warrant guidelines.
  • The ability to see the root cause of issues and tackle them from that perspective.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Provide leadership in effective conflict resolution using facts and sound reasoning.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office and the ability to learn and utilize our in-house warranty program.
  • Good understanding and/or experience with departmental budgeting.
  • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality.
  • Post-secondary certification, related PHBIS courses/certifications specifically Moisture Control
