Community Information Exchange System Administrator Contract - November 1, 2025-April 30, 2026
For over 50 years Distress Centre has served Calgary and Southern Alberta, providing 24-hour crisis support, information, and resources at no cost. Anyone can call us day or night.
The System Administrator will ensure the operational success of the Community Information Exchange platform (CareSuite) by overseeing access controls, workflow management, system auditing and reporting. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Information Exchange the System Administrator will play a key role in the growth and maintenance of compliance for the CIE.

Data Management And Compliance
Ensure data collection aligns with all policies and procedures aligned to governance and privacy.
Conduct user audits ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
Participate in Policy and Procedure creation/review for CIE Data Management and Privacy Compliance.
Manage user accounts (creation/deactivation) aligned with appropriate roles and permissions as defined in CIE policies and procedures.
Identify, with community partners, any platform enhancement opportunities.
Create new surveys .XML for system as required and as aligned to policies and procedure of both.
Create and maintain all dashboards in Power BI
Support vendor in creating platform reporting capabilities
Ensure accuracy and completeness of data
Commit to continuous Improvement
General work hours are 9:00AM – 5:00PM Monday-Friday, however some flexibility in working evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the program.

Reports to the Senior Manager, Community Information Exchange
Diploma in Data Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
Familiarity with system administration, database management, or data analytics
Experience or coursework with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and user access control
Strong organizational and time management skills, interpersonal skills and effective communication skills and proficiency in data management and reporting.
Knowledge of the social services landscape in Calgary, including knowledge of resources and services available to individuals and families in need.
