Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of technologies including cloud platforms, virtualization, databases, and networking. Responsibilities

  • Manage and support cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Maintain and optimize virtualization platforms including VMware and ESXi.
  • Administer various operating systems including Windows and Linux, ensuring system stability and security.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network services such as DNS, VPNs, and computer networking components.
  • Manage databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash, Shell Scripting, Python, or PowerShell to streamline operations.
  • Implement container orchestration with Kubernetes and manage DevOps pipelines using Jenkins, Git, T-SQL, and other CI/CD tools.
  • Monitor system performance and security logs; perform regular updates and patches to maintain system integrity.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support REST APIs and integrate various systems efficiently.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and policies to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in systems administration within enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, VMware/ESXi virtualization platforms, and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency with operating systems including Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
  • Hands-on experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts including DNS configuration, VPN setup, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Skills in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell; experience with Git version control system.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Kubernetes; CI/CD tools such as Jenkins are a plus.
  • Understanding of RESTful API integration and web technologies including JavaScript is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools to automate deployment processes effectively.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud computing (AWS Certified Solutions Architect), virtualization (VMware Certified Professional), or database management are preferred.
