Our client is an established force in retail with a portfolio of personal care products including cosmetics and skin care. With continued success on the horizon, they are looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and face challenges head-on to join their team on a 6-month contract (with possibility for extension) to drive ecommerce initiatives. The Job
Reporting to the Director of Ecommerce, you will:
- Drive sales targets to achieve goals via e-retailing and direct-to-consumer channels
- Identify monthly sales targets, developing and adjusting strategies to meet goals
- Cultivate and maintain relationships and explore new opportunities with online retail partners
- Collaborate with brands to understand marketing calendars and execute season marketing plans
- Review and improve product merchandising on retailer sites to showcase brands
- Conduct quality assurance procedures and ensure high-quality customer experiences
- Support ecommerce and online marketing strategies to drive sales and acquire new customers
- Ensure the integration of omni-channel initiatives and programming with direct-to-consumer strategies
- Determine strategies and actions to adapt to the customer landscape and digital/social programming
- Perform market research, identify trends, and optimize strategies accordingly
- Leverage campaign metrics and analytics for ROI tracking, sales reporting, forecasting, and competitive reviews
- Oversee projects in ecommerce and digital marketing, aligning with operational plans and budgets
- Develop strategies and integrate activities with traditional and in-store promotions
- Other tasks and projects as required
What you bring to the job
You are collaborative, focused, hardworking, and passionate about ecommerce. You thrive under high pressure and know how to balance competing priorities to take multiple projects to the finish line. You hold yourself to a high standard but are open and eager to learn more and strengthen your skills. You also have the following qualities:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, e.G. digital commerce or marketing
- 5 years of experience or more handling ecommerce in the retail industry, ideally luxury
- Experience in the beauty and cosmetics industry is preferred and a strong asset
- Business acumen with knowledge of consumer trends and finetuning of best practices
- Strong leadership skills with cross-functional collaboration skills
- An excellent track record in project management, achieving deadlines and deliverables
- A results-oriented approach and a strong work ethic
- Proficiency with understanding metrics, creating reports, and presenting to senior leaders
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with all levels and regions.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and utmost accuracy
- Efficient time management and ability to multiple ongoing projects
- Exceptional communication, client service, and relationship-building skills
