Reponsibilities include developing, managing and working with line of business leaders to implement an internal responsibility system that consists of health and safety protocols and wellness programs. Serves as the primary liaison with the Ministry of Labour (MoL) and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and facilitates the participation and involvement of the Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSC) across Yee Hong. Advances safety standards, conducts health and safety training and oversees inpsections and audits. Additionally, manages both short-term and long term disabilty claims.
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in heath promotion, nursing, or one of the allied health/rehabilitation sciences, or Occupational Health and Safety
Certification in health and safety management (e.g., Certified Health and Safety Consultant) and WSIB administration
Minimum five years leadership experience in a related organization and in liaising with the MoL, WSIB, Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness, preferably in health care setting
Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Global Harmonized System (GHS), WSIB and other relevant legislations
Excellent knowledge of occupational health, injury and disease prevention, disability management, claims management and return to work strategies
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, as well MS office and OHS databases such as Parklane, Workday, etc.
Ontario driving licence and access to own automobile Working Conditions:
