Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, andinstructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of the employee health and safety recognition program to promote environment, health and safety topics of interest and to continue to encourage safe work practices and behaviours.What you will bring:Internship completed in an Environmental Health & Safety related field preferredWorking knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.; an asset;Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS, and all other workplace EH&S regulations;Team-player with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders;Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities;Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment where attention todetail and effective multi-tasking is essential.General Computer Skills (e.g. MS Office 365 including, Excel, PowerPoint and Word);First-Aid Certification preferred.Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health & Safety or in Kinesiology related field requiredMaple Lodge Farms was established in 1955.
