We currently have an opening for an ambitious Office Accounting Administrator, in our Halifax branch. This full-time position offers tremendous growth opportunities, including diverse projects, supported career development, and potential for advancement.

As an Office Accounting Administrator, you will be responsible to:

  • Process all invoices, progress claims, holdbacks, cash receipts, and backorders as per our company standards;
  • Maintain project books, balance secured work, and reconcile project files;
  • Ensure the collection of all accounts receivables to the acceptable days outstanding required by the company;
  • Become adept in the fundamentals of estimating, pricing, quoting, shipping, and its impact on invoicing and collections processes;
  • Oversee an effective system of filing all reports, including customer invoices and purchase orders;
  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting process;
  • Process all installer invoices within corporate standards;
  • Provide support to other members of the finance and administrative team as required;
  • Take a proactive and professional approach to problem-solving and have strong organizational abilities.

Your Experience:

  • Ideally, you have 3+ years administrative experience focused on Accounts Receivable;
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices;
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment and brings a customer-focused mindset in all aspects of the role;
  • Previous experience with collections and progress claims is preferred;
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and experience with ERP systems is considered a strong asset;
  • Direct industry experience in construction is considered a strong asset.
