Bilingual Key Account Manager - Ingredients (industrial clients)
Location: 7470 Rue Saint-Jacques, Montreal, H4B 1W4 (hybrid face-to-face and telework + travel in Quebec and Ontario to meet customers)

The Key Account Manager manages all aspects of business relationships with customers of varying size and complexity in order to generate sales and develop new business for the Ingredients and Exports department in accordance with the business plan. He or she must establish Lactalis Canada as the preferred supplier of dairy ingredients.

Manage all aspects of the sale of dairy ingredients to key customers, including distributors, to achieve volume and profit growth targets, including determining customer product requirements, obtaining product approvals, negotiating pricing, establishing contracts, understanding and communicating expected volume requirements and conducting commercial reviews.
Develop business for Lactalis with key and new accounts in both purchasing and customer R&D by verifying customer ingredient requirements and proposing solutions from the product portfolio. Liaise and work closely with the technical teams on all aspects of product development for the customer including technical documentation, packaging, functionality and ingredient quality requirements.
Ensure that the day-to-day needs of national customers are met by managing and coordinating the efforts of all other functional areas (Customer Service, Operations, Credit, Logistics), and contributing to the resolution of non-routine customer service issues including quality and delivery.
Manage the implementation of long-term strategic customer projects, such as the development of new ingredients or packaging, by managing communication between all internal and customer departments (Research and Development, Global Sourcing, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Quality Assurance and Operations).
Keep Lactalis Canada's position as a leader in the dairy ingredients industry by promoting the product line at trade events and seeking opportunities to present technical product information to customers.
Ensure communication and alignment with other members of the Sales team and distributors, in particular to encourage and foster collaboration with the Ingredients and Exports team and cross-functional teams to find synergies for the growth of the division.

Degree or college diploma, preferably in food science, business or related field, or relevant experience;
Minimum of (7) years of account management experience, including at least three (3) years of experience effectively managing mid-size and large ingredient or foodservice accounts, preferably in the Canadian dairy environment;
Knowledge of the Canadian dairy system;
Experience in building relationships at multiple levels;
Ability to perceive and interpret customer requirements and demands and to engage with the customer beyond immediate contact to build relationships;
Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills;
Ability to balance customer needs with Lactalis Canada's business direction;
Work easily with common office computer technologies, including Microsoft Office and Internet, and working knowledge of SAP and BW;
Bilingualism in French and English is essential, as some of your customers are in Ontario.
