The brand management and marketing global WSP team is currently seeking a Brand and Marketing Strategy Director to join its growing team.
Reporting to the Global Vice President, Brand Management and Marketing, the director will play a crucial role in shaping the organization ’ s overarching marketing and brand strategy, ensuring it remains dynamic and responsive to the evolving marketplace and changing customer demands. 
The director’s responsibilities will include developing and fortifying WSP overall marketing strategy and the brand ’ s positioning, identity, and messaging in alignment with the overall business strategy. Collaborating closely with global & regional marketing teams and cross-functional stakeholders, th is person will influence a cohesive and  effective marketing strategy and brand expression across all touchpoints and channels, internally and externally. In addition to this, the  d irector will help establish a global marketing plan and brand guidelines that align with the business ’ vision and drive brand cohesion and differentiation in the market by facilitating their extensive application throughout the organization.
As a leader of marketing & brand strategy, th e candidate will also be responsible for assessing marketing ROI and brand health, recommending areas of improvement, and communicating progress with senior management and other functional leaders. Their strategic thinking, leadership and team management will continuously enhance the marketing performance and brand’s awareness and  influence in the market.
The candidate for this position will work in a hybrid mode, spending a minimum of three days at the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing and Brand Strategy: With global and regional teams, develop and articulate a comprehensive global marketing & brand strategy plan that aligns with the organization, sectors  and regional’s goals, vision, and objectives.
Market Research and analysis: Capture and use in-depth market research and analysis to identify customer insights, market trends, and competitive landscape. Leverage these insights to develop targeted marketing and brand strategies.
Brand: Define and socialize the brand’s unique value proposition, positioning, and differentiation internally and develop strategies to effectively communicate the brand’s positioning to target audiences.
Digital marketing: Collaborate to develop and socialize a WSP digital marketing strategy that includes channel, content, and placement strategy. 
Cross-sector and regional collaboration: Collaborate with marketing & communication teams and subject matter experts to align global marketing strategies and brand marketing initiatives with the specific goals and objectives. Develop strong relationships and facilitate knowledge sharing to drive consistent marketing, brand experiences and thought leadership. 
Marketing & Brand Performance Measurement: Develop KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and the impact on business growth objectives. Regularly analyze data and insights to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and optimize marketing strategies and tactics accordingly. 
Team Leadership and Management: Lead a team of marketing and brand professionals, ensuring they have the sector-specific knowledge and expertise needed to effectively support and promote WSP’s brand worldwide. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
What sets you apart
You have a bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing and a minimum of 10 years of related experience in brand development, marketing strategy, marketing consulting or strategic planning , or an equivalent combination of training and related experience.
A master’s degree would be an asset.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to guide and lead a diverse team to reach defined goals.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Expertise in conducting data analysis, including the ability to identify, collect and analyze data from various sources to draw relevant insights about leading and lagging marketing & brand health metrics.
Proficiency in applying market research, data analysis and consumer insights to drive informed decisions.
Knowledge and experience with marketing & brand strategy planning and execution .
In-depth knowledge of brand management principles and best practices, including sector-specific and regional branding considerations.
Solid experience in managing and executing complex projects with tight deadlines and budgets.
Autonomy: Enjoy taking initiatives and feel comfortable working in an environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to adapt in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. 
Proficiency in English is required, writing, and speaking.
