Manager, Supply Chain - Transportation Systems and Processes
The Transportation Systems and Processes team is responsible for the standardization of operational processes; performance measurement and reporting, along with system deployments to support the day-to-day operations and changes within the Loblaw Supply Chain. In partnership with our operational stakeholders, this team strives to maintain accurate information, consistent practices, and identify efficiencies within Supply Chain.
The team is accountable for the design, implementation and maintenance of all transportation systems used across the supply chain operational network. The Manager is responsible for facilitating the on-going maintenance, support, and upgrade of supply chain systems, ensuring integration of changes across the entire network. This includes integration and oversight through their life cycle end-to-end (requirements, resourcing, solutioning, design, testing, building, validating, deployment, training, and upgrades/change requests, replacement), which will involve coordinating the execution of projects, work intake processes, cross functional systems support meetings, as well as the active management of relationships with internal and external partners. The Manager will support large scale design and implementation projects for new or replacement systems as well as oversee maintenance of existing systems and their integration into the larger supply chain system strategies and roadmap.
Leads a team to oversee a specific subset of systems used in Supply Chain Logistics and Operational business areas
Manages multiple diverse projects simultaneously while building and expanding their knowledge and experience in the operational processes
Supports vision, strategy, framework, implementation, and execution plans for the Supply Chain Transport Systems journey
Become a subject matter expert on everything transport systems within the operating sites
Works closely with operations, other support functions in supply chain and IT
Collaborates with project managers, ensuring coordinated activities to meet all business requirements
Ensures the rapid development and deployment of enhancements and innovative technologies
Integrate efforts with other areas of Supply Chain
5+ years’ experience in a supply chain or retail organization with 3-5 years project management experience
~Experience working on the business side of IT related Transportation Systems projects
~ Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously while successfully meeting milestones
~ Demonstrated PM competencies: planning, budget and timeline management, scope management, risk management, timely decision making, effective team building, ability to prioritize and delegate appropriately as well as deal with changing priorities
~ Working knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio
~ Experience with Agile Project Management approach is a highly valued asset
~ Experience in the Supply Chain Operations a highly valued asset
~ Experience with any of the following systems is an asset: Manhattan (WM/LM), Blue Yonder (IPFR/TMS), SAP, Kronos, Telematics Applications, project 44, Power BI
