Job Description: Senior Program Manager - Special Initiatives Joint Use Program

Job Description :
Our clients are working collaboratively to plan and implement several related initiatives to improve the way work is performed and reduce costs associated with our jointly owned distribution pole system. Together we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in telecommunications and electrical utilities, particularly the aerial distribution plant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects and special initiatives in the telecommunications and electrical distribution sectors.

Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of high priority initiatives to improve the way that we deliver telecommunications and electrical utility projects, with a focus on aerial distribution systems.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
Lead coordination of cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and operations, to meet project objectives.
Develop and oversee implementation of resource planning, project schedule, and risk management plan to ensure project milestones are achieved, leveraging technology integration and promoting continuous improvement opportunities.
Monitor project progress and performance, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, including senior management and executive leadership, on project status, identifying roadblocks and potential solutions.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, good engineering and utility practice, including work methods and quality requirements.
Identify and manage project risks and issues to minimize disruptions and delays.
Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to drive project success, emphasizing stakeholder management and effective communication.
Document cost savings and/or cost avoidance opportunities during the project, ensuring strong financial reporting skills are employed to track project expenditures and to manage budgets effectively.
Prepare appropriate project completion reports for each initiative to document results and future opportunities / risks for presentation to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field.
PMP certification is required and additional certifications related to process improvement or change management would be considered an asset.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the telecommunications and electrical utility industries, with a focus on design and construction of aerial distribution plant considered an asset.
Proven experience in managing large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
Strong knowledge of telecommunications and electrical utility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
Excellent leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Experience with project management tools and software.
Previous experience in presenting to senior management and executive leadership
