Join us as a Planner & Scheduler within our Life Sciences & Technology Division for a project located in Port Colborne (15 minutes outside Niagara) .
Responsibilities:
# Involved in the Planning of projects as a member of the Pursuit team.
# Responsible for reading and understanding the RFP bid documents (schedule-related contractual requirements, drawings, and specifications).
# Creating the Schedule for the Pursuit in Primavera P6 , ensuring that the durations and relationships have been vetted by Superintendents, subtrades, and/or our internal Production Rates database (as required).
# Participate in developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times, and project risk items.
# Identify unplanned events (new changes/unforeseen conditions) and incorporate their impacts into the schedule.
# Develop as-built versus as-planned schedules to provide a manageable “snapshot” comparison of the project schedule.
# Working with the project team to create the Baseline Schedule, ensuring that it meets or exceeds EllisDon’s Best Practices in terms of format, layout, content, and quality.
# Updating the project schedule every other week for each project assigned, using information provided by the project team.
# Reporting on the status of all active projects assigned, and occasionally generating specific reports for project teams.
# Attending and participating in internal project review meetings.
# Providing support to project teams by developing micro work schedules, what-if scenarios, Time-Impact-Analysis (TIA) schedules as required.

Requirements:
# Eight plus years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience; building experience required.
# Experience working on data center and pharmaceutical projects.
# Working knowledge of computer scheduling programs including P6, MS Projects.
# Ability to manage the schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.
# Experience working as part of a construction project team and exposure to on-site construction.
# Preference given to candidates with hands-on experience from carpentry, site superintendent, project manager, project coordinator, field engineer.
# Clear and effective communication skills in alignment with EllisDon's Values, promoting collaborative problem-solving.
