Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Events & Guest Services Manager to play a key guest-facing role at one of British Columbia’s go-to destinations. This individual will support weddings, corporate offsites, wellness retreats, and other events at the resort, along with delivering exceptional customer service as part of our guest services team.

The Events & Guest Services Manager will have significant exposure to Evergreen’s senior leadership team, with the opportunity to take on as much responsibility as they can demonstrate capability for.

The Events & Guest Services Manager’s key responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end execution of events (from contract signed to happy client), including:
  • Serving as the main point-of-contact for wedding / event groups once a contract is signed
  • Partnering with clients to bring their vision to life throughout the planning process
  • Creating detailed plans / schedules for each event, including coordinating responsibilities across other departments (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, F&B)
  • Driving execution of each event, serving as our on-the-ground leader to ensure smooth delivery and exceed client expectations
  • Conducting post-event evaluations to assess the quality and efficiency of events and identify areas for improvement
  • Playing an active role on our guest services team at the resort front desk (30-50% of time), providing top-notch service to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Reinforcing our service culture throughout all guest interactions, leading by example and setting the bar for other staff to emulate
  • Partnering with management to identify & execute additional initiatives to continue elevating the quality of the resort & overall guest experience

Skills and qualifications

  • About You:
    You are an experienced events coordinator with a can-do attitude. Your customer service & attention to detail allow you to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You are self-motivated and continuously strive to exceed expectations.
  • Event Planning:
    Extensive background planning meetings, corporate events, and weddings. Exceptional time management and organization skills to keep events on-track and on-budget.
  • Customer Service:
    Outgoing personality with a passion for creating unforgettable customer experiences. Strong initiative and expertise in the hospitality industry.
  • Working style:
    Highly motivated work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Industry Experience:
    Past experience managing large-scale events in the luxury hospitality market.
