Salary- $35/hour-$40/ hour based on experience

Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators to dig trenches for water and sewer lines, gutting manholes, and installing shoring. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across various locations in the GTA and surrounding areas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators to perform excavation tasks according to project requirements
  • Dig trenches for water and sewer lines
  • Gut manholes and assist with installations
  • Install shoring as needed for excavation projects
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Excavator Operator
  • Experience with sewer and watermain excavations/installations preferred
  • Ability to meet at the yard at 6am and work until 6pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional half-day Saturdays
  • Willingness to travel to job sites across the GTA, including Burlington, Hamilton, Peterborough, Cobourg
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Additional Information

  • Employees will meet at the yard and travel to job sites in a work truck provided by the company
  • Rare occasions may require overnight stays in a hotel, with expenses covered by the company
  • Potential opportunity for a company-provided work truck in the future
