We are looking for Sous Chefs for our clients at 75 Bader Ln, Kingston, ON K7L 2S7, Canada. And various locations in the region.

No. of position: 4

Responsibilities

  • Help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus.
  • Produce high-quality plates both design and taste-wise.
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
  • Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule and assess staff’s performance.
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
  • Assure kitchen personnel are trained in the best cleanliness and sanitation practices.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
  • Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the specifications.

Qualifications

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Mandate 3+ years of experience in the culinary field working in a reputable Restaurant/Hotel in their home country with supporting documents Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • English - IELTS test score of 7 and above (International English Language Testing System)
  • Nights and Weekend Availability to work.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and no restrictions on being on their feet for extended periods of time.

Hourly Rate: $ 23.50 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Must be able to work PM/Weekend and Late night shifts at our primary busy locations.

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay

For Full time and permanent employment Aramark would offer a group health benefit program that would cover Life Insurance, Medical and Dental benefits.
