British Columbia, Canada Alliance for Arts and Culture Full time
Deadline:

May. 24, 2024

Organization Description:

The Chutzpah Festival is a dynamic multi-disciplinary performing arts festival (music, dance, comedy, theatre) that for 24 years has featured professional local, national and international artists through a multicultural Jewish lens. Chutzpah is one of Vancouver’s most well respected and exciting festivals bringing together a diverse, multi-generational audience. The Festival’s main home is the Norman & Annette Rothstein Theatre, a professionally-equipped, 318-seat proscenium stage for the presentation of professional dance, music and theatre, as well as film, literary and community performing arts events. Situated in the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver, the theatre was created to enhance the cultural life of both the Jewish and general communities and is one of the Lower Mainland’s few mid-size proscenium theatres, located in the rapidly developing Oakridge neighbourhood. Chutzpah also programs off site at venues such as the Scotiabank Dance Centre, Firehall Arts Centre, Wise Hall, and the Pearl.

This position will give the successful applicant the opportunity to experience a variety of aspects of arts management and festival production, and be mentored by a team of experienced Chutzpah staff. Applicants of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
