Greystone Books is a leading independent publisher of books about nature, science, health, and social issues, with a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Greystone Books, a leading trade book publisher of nonfiction books for adults and picture books and middle-grade nonfiction for young readers, is seeking an Administrative and Publishing Assistant. This is a temporary 12-week position or an internship.

This role supports Greystone’s administrative functions across multiple departments, including general office administration. This position requires excellent time-management, prioritizing, and customer service skills. It is a full-time position, based out of the Vancouver office, reporting to the Publisher.

Responsibilities:

• Office administration including answering the main phone line, greeting visitors, and responding to mail queries.
• Stocking office and kitchen supplies, maintaining a tidy office.
• Handling all mail and couriers
• Other office support under the direction of the Operations Manager
• Maintaining various databases and docs
• Supporting all departments administratively as needed

Qualifications:

• A love for books
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, and Word
• Superior organization, communication, and prioritizing skills
• Knowledge of basic HTML
• Able to work independently as part of a team
