The incumbent will be primarily responsible for general financial accounting, tax, statutory, routine transactional finance, and selected admin tasks for the IDP Education Limited Singapore Branch.
The role reports directly to Singapore Finance Manager, works closely with Singapore Operations and Finance Shared Services (FSS) to fulfil duties.
General Ledger
~ Collaborate with Finance Manager to execute month end closing activities and reconciliations.
Accounts Payable responsibilities
Responsible of Accounts Payable (AP) processincluding but not limited to:
Monitor P2P (Ariba, Concur and Oracle) systems to ensure that procurement is initiated, and payments are entered into system follow company policy highlighting gaps to Finance manager.
Timely submission of ad hoc supporting documents to Shared Services for data entry (if any).
Jointly monitor expenses coding (ensuring FSS are clear on guidelines and checks performed correctly).
Responsible for the processing of staff claims and vendor payments in an accurate and timely manner.
Run query for staff to ensure credit card expenses submitted; Accounts Receivable responsibilities
Working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve billing or revenue issues.
Fixed Assets
Ensure capitalization and disposal of Fixed Assets are recorded accurately and timely.
Maintain Fixed Assets register.
Working with other departments to perform periodic physical counts of Fixed assets.
Involvement in financial audit and submission process – including auditor liaison, HQ / FSS liaison.
Assist in tax matters including but not limited to GST, WHT and annual tax returns.
Assist in local finance systems projects implementation / improvement – co-ordinate, support, participate, document, process map.
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Finance Manager.
Possesses at least a Diploma or Degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration.
At least 3-4 years work experience in accounting and finance.
Fluent in English communication skills (both verbal & writing)
