Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent HR Generalist/Manager (Projects) to join our manufacturing client in Stittsville, Ontario. This opportunity is a great fit for a highly motivated HR Professional who holds Change Management experience in leading HR Projects through to completion (non-technical). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of policies and procedures internally, as well as managing change and project initiatives within the Human Resources department. This role requires strong project management, change management, and communication skills, along with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will play a crucial role in driving transformation and ensuring effective project execution. In this role, you will work onsite in Stittsville (95% of the time) with occasional (5%) travel to other offices in Ottawa as needed (Kanata and Brockville).

Responsibilities:
  1. Policy and Procedure Implementation:
    • Lead the implementation of previously created policies and procedures within the Human Resources department.
    • Develop comprehensive written communication materials to effectively communicate policy and procedure changes to employees.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation and adherence to established policies and procedures.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented policies and procedures and recommend improvements as needed.
    • Contribute to the creation of new policies and procedures based on organizational needs and industry best practices.
  2. Change Management and Communication:
    • Develop change management plans and strategies to support the successful adoption of changes and minimize resistance.
    • Create clear and compelling communication plans to inform and engage employees throughout the change process.
    • Coordinate with key stakeholders to gather input and address concerns related to change initiatives.
    • Provide pre-communication and facilitate training sessions to prepare employees for upcoming changes.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Human Resources Project Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of change management principles and practices, and a track record of project execution. It will be considered an asset if you have experience with the ADKAR model. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
