Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Hybrid - On site/In office + remote/WFH

Compensation : $60-80K

Purpose of this role : The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting our construction projects, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, organizational finesse, and a proactive approach to project management.

Notes: We're aiming for an ideal start in early to mid-May. The right candidate for this role brings 1-2 years of hands-on experience in construction within a Project Coordinator, ideally within General Contracting or Steel projects. The team values excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn and grow, and a genuine passion for the construction industry. THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Project Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of our projects, collaborating closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to drive successful project outcomes. Your responsibilities will span from technical support to administrative tasks, ensuring projects progress efficiently and effectively.

As a Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Conduct site visits as required, providing on-site support and oversight.
  • Support the project manager in coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and other project contributors.

YOU ARE/HAVE:

  • 1-3 years of experience construction, with experience in a Project Coordinator role (required).
  • A degree in Engineering or Construction is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in software such as Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Proficiency in structural steel is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • For an immediate project, a willingness to work on-site in Langley three days a week, with flexibility for remote work.
  • A vehicle for on-site days.
