About the Company
We are supporting our client, a highly-esteemed sole practitioner in their search for a Family Law Legal Assistant / Law Clerk. Running a busy practice of 30 years, this role would support a senior Professional in all manner of Family Law and Civil Litigation matters.

About the Role
Working closely with the Principal, the incumbent will:
  • Communicate with clients regarding their legal matters, regularly.
  • Draft correspondence to counsel, other professionals and third parties.
  • Prepare initial drafts of court documents, including Pleadings, Affidavits of Documents, Financial Statements, Conference Briefs, and Affidavits.
  • Prepare and compile Financial Disclosure Briefs, Mediation Briefs, Conference Briefs, Trial Records, etc.
  • Maintain physical and digital files.
  • Manage Principal's calendar and diarize deadlines.
  • Preparing and delivering client accounts.
  • Scheduling court dates, client meetings, and other events.
  • Greeting clients, answering calls, attending to courier deliveries, and communicating with potential clients.

What You Bring
As the ideal candidate, you possess 3+ years' experience supporting a family law or civil litigation practice. You are versed in the entire MS Office Suite, Clio (or similar) and a document management system. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy the autonomy of taking ownership of your role.
