THE POSITION

  • You will prepare and process multi-jurisdictional payrolls, including hourly, salaried, and commissionable employees
  • Always compliant, you will ensure that the payroll process abides by federal, provincial, all municipal laws and regulations as well as meeting auditing standards and SOX controls.
  • You will prepare and distribute payroll-related reporting in an effective and timely manner, answering questions when required
  • You will perform payroll reconciliations and assist in year-end reporting requirements
  • You can answer questions from stakeholders at various levels in a timely, customer centric fashion
  • You have intermediate to advanced EXCEL and reporting skills
  • You are comfortable with data, data analysis and data management, confidently extracting information from multiple systems, pulling it together for business review and verification
  • You will participate in other projects and perform other duties as required

THE QUALIFICATIONS

You have 1-3 years of experience working with multi-jurisdictional payrolls, complemented with working knowledge of various provincial employment standards. You are working towards or have attained the PCP designation through the National Payroll Institute. You are proficient in both Microsoft Office and Excel, have a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. You have experience with large volume administration using T2200/TP64.3. You have high attention to detail and strong organizational skills. You have experience with WorkForce Now and/or other payrolling systems.

*Bilingualism would be an asset in this position.

*This position is based in our Canadian, Corporate Head Office, St. Catharines/Niagara-on-the-Lake. This role is available for a HYBRID working arrangement, available to be performed both in office (2-3 days a week) and home.
