Overview Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a highly adaptable, customer-focused, and results-oriented Director of Human Resources with extensive HR leadership experience. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this new role will lead a team in Canada and the US comprised of HR managers/business partners as well as specialists in talent acquisition, learning & development, HR systems & analytics, immigration & compliance, and payroll & benefits. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with management to attract, develop, and retain the best employees, delivering a first-class employee experience and ensuring we fulfill our legal and ethical responsibilities as an employer.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

As Director of Human Resources, responsibilities include:

  1. Provide leadership, direction, and support to the HR team to ensure the achievement of objectives and facilitate their continued growth and development.
  2. Work collaboratively with the VP of HR as well as our business leaders, HR business partners, and specialists to develop, implement, and continuously improve programs that drive employee engagement and retention.
  3. Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with our business strategy.
  4. Partner with HR business partners in other Hexagon divisions and regions to support our global operations.
  5. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices that are aligned with our culture & values and foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
Qualifications

Must-Have:

  1. At least 10+ years of progressive HR advisory and operations experience.
  2. Proven experience as a senior HR leader leading a team of experienced HR professionals and managing multiple HR disciplines.
  3. A solid understanding of Canada and US employment law and best practices.
  4. Exposure to international HR.
  5. Experience leading change and managing projects.
  6. Strong analytical and data management skills.
  7. Excellent communication and business writing skills.
  8. An undergraduate degree in business or a related field.
