What you’ll do:
We are seeking a motivated and resourceful leader to join our marketing team with the goal of building out our content and community ecosystem. This role requires someone with a growth mindset and ideally has built out a content strategy for a scaling startup before. You are tech-savvy, inspirational, a creative thinker and hopefully have a basic understanding of AI and the place it holds in the world. Moving and thinking rapidly with attention to detail and a sharp eye for quality is crucial, as we want our content engine to really take on our authentic vision and serve as one of our biggest drivers for customer acquisition and retention.
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop and build our content and thought leadership strategy with an eye on customer personas and community building elements.
- Own and obsesses over our website – curate high quality content in a range of formats to drive traffic, support acquisition goals, build our community, and craft customer experiences that further Durable’s reputation as a thought leader.
- Identify opportunities for new growth tools, products or content focused experiences for our customers both on our website and within other channels
- Build and lead a team of content writers in an effort create a scalable content engine
- Become product knowledgeable. Build funnels that position our products, platform and brand into consumable messaging that truly connects with small business owners and entrepreneurs in an effort to help them gain value from our products.
- Strong SEO understanding with the ability to work with and collaborate with our SEOagency to scale organic traffic
- Collaborate with the marketing and growth team members to support and optimize the content within all of our social channels and customer communications
- Build out a strong tone of voice for the organization, as we evolve our brand
- Use existing measurement tools or recommend new ones to validate the performance of the content you produce
- Edit, standardise and proofread content produced by other contributors within the organization to ensure consistency
- Ensure that all content is on brand and consistent with company standards.
Who you are:
- BSc/BA in Marketing, English, journalism, communications, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience leading content strategy in-house for a tech related organization
- Ability to comprehend complex systems and transform technical concepts into everyday language.
- Native English speaking and writing abilities (& French or Spanish writing a plus).
- Portfolio of published work.
- A natural storyteller with meticulous writing/editing skills and a hands-on attitude.
- A keen interest in the latest trends and best practices.
- Ability to adapt easily to changing priorities and the overall AI market or business trends across multiple regions
- A strong leader with the ability to represent Durable and our brand in public settings
Pay and benefits
The annual range for this role is $160,000 to 170,000k plus equity
This range may change if you are hired in a fully-remote role.
