Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Roofing Estimator to join our Surrey office, someone with deep knowledge of roofing and waterproofing systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead complex commercial and industrial bids. The ideal candidate will elevate estimating standards, ensure competitive and accurate bid submissions, and contribute to ongoing project growth while upholding the highest levels of quality, reliability, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Lead full-cycle estimating for commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing and waterproofing projects. Review drawings, specifications, tenders, and contracts to prepare accurate material, labour, and cost estimates. Manage quantity take-offs, site assessments, and risk/constructability evaluations. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and vet competitive pricing. Prepare detailed bid packages, proposals, and cost summaries. Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing, and vendor information. Work closely with internal project management and technical teams to ensure alignment on bid strategy. Support and mentor junior estimators where needed. Handle all bid information with strict confidentiality and professionalism. Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience as a Roofing Estimator, ideally at a senior level. Strong understanding of commercial and industrial roofing systems (BUR, SBS, TPO, EPDM, metal, waterproofing). Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar). Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. High level of integrity and discretion. Background in construction management or building science preferred, but not required.
