Required Technical Skills:Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline3 – 5 years of related work experience (Custom Metal Fabrication, job shop) or combination of relevant education and work experienceProficient user of 3D CAD (specifically SolidWorks) and AutoCADSound knowledge of project execution activities such as planning, project controls, scheduling and costingProficient at reading, understanding and production of technical drawings and specificationsSound working knowledge of Excel, Word and other MS Office softwareAbility to multi-task, problem-solve and handle a high volume of activity with conflicting deadlinesMust have a valid Ontario driver’s license for travel to customer sites. Professional Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skillsAccuracy and attention to detail is essentialStrong and confident interpersonal skills with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic formAbility to work within a collaborative team respectfully and positivelyTactful and diplomaticAbility to adapt and respond positively to changeSelf-motivated with a positive attitude.
