Claims Representative

Document and analyze the information gathered on a file, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damage and/or liability.
Collaborate with our legal team to attend court proceedings, mediations, and settlement meetings when necessary.
Collaborate with your peers and other teams to resolve files thoroughly and quickly.
Be a go-to source for queries relating to investigations and the claims process.
Build relationships with vendors and communicate with claims departments and liaise with adjusters, experts, management, and other claims representatives on technical and administrative issues. What you bring to the table: 2-5+ years of experience handling liability claims.
University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
Pursuing or completion of your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
Can communicate and negotiate effectively.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Knowledge of legislation governing insurance from all Atlantic provinces.
