Job Description

We are looking to fill a full-time Pipeline Integrity Data Specialist, remote-work position located in Canada. Working as part of the OneBridge team on cutting-edge data management and data analytics technology, the successful candidate will collaborate with our engineers and customers in our mission to develop innovative new solutions for the oil & gas industry.

The ideal candidate brings a wealth of expertise with pipeline integrity data systems such as Inline Inspection (ILI), PODS and other GIS platforms (APDM, UPDM), corrosion & CP databases, field NDE data, and in-house integrity data management systems. If you have experience working in data modelling and analysis of pipeline integrity datasets, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust data models and data management systems to house & analyze various pipeline integrity datasets
  • Analyze and interpret structure and information in a customer GIS and other systems to assist in integration with the OneBridge Solutions platform
  • Work directly with customers and subject matter experts to understand their existing pipeline integrity data systems & challenges
  • Assist software engineers in troubleshooting data-related issues and diagnosing database performance bottlenecks, identify roadblocks or issues in system designs and provide options to address the issues
  • Implement enhancements to the existing data management platform, supporting additional functionality. Document and ensure the correct implementation from beginning to end with our QA team.
  • Perform and adopt best practices in testing and development: usability, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
  • Engage the team and document rules and processes for construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of databases, analytical data models
  • Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge
  • Willing to perform other job duties/responsibilities as may be assigned for the successful operation of the business

Qualifications & Skills

  • Expert-level familiarity with ILI data, PODS, and related pipeline integrity data as well as the challenges inherent in modelling and analysis of these datasets
  • Significant expertise with database technologies such as Azure SQL, Oracle, stored procedures, indexing strategy and performance optimization
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
  • Familiarity with pipeline integrity business processes and regulations such as CFR 192 & 195 is preferred
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI and analytical data models, SQL Server Reporting Services is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work independently and from home, and potentially to travel to customer offices
