Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ontario (40% Travel in Canada and the US)

Industry: Packaging Automation - End-Of-Line Packaging Solutions

Our client is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions for optimizing warehouse operations. They specialize in crafting and integrating advanced automation systems tailored for high-volume warehouse and distribution centers. Their goal is to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness, revolutionizing warehouse logistics.

Our client is currently seeking a proactive and dynamic Business Development Manager to join the team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in driving sales growth by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities within targeted sectors. These sectors include e-commerce, healthcare, nutraceuticals, and other industries with high-volume distribution needs. We need someone who can think strategically, has a genuine passion for automation, and excels in building lasting connections with key decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in designated sectors to uncover new avenues for business growth.
  • Collaborate closely with our sales and marketing teams to develop and execute precise outreach strategies.
  • Customize tailored solutions for potential clients leveraging our pack-line system expertise.
  • Cultivate relationships with system integrators, advocating for the seamless integration of our solutions into their offerings for end customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities within our Salesforce CRM, diligently advancing opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Continuously refine sales plans and forecasts in alignment with quarterly objectives.
  • Actively participate in relevant industry expos and events.
  • Be flexible and ready for occasional overnight travel, sometimes on short notice.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on sales efforts to management, along with insightful recommendations for refinement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrated track record of 2-5 years in sales or business development, particularly in the industrial automation sector.
  • A degree or diploma in a business or technically related field.
  • Strong understanding of automation processes.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of collaboration.
  • Thrives in a goal-oriented environment, consistently exceeding targets.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, capable of building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, complemented by strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Performs well under pressure and meets deadlines consistently.
