Stepabroad is looking for a Travel Coordinator who has lived, worked, and/or studied abroad and has first-hand insight into making every cultural exchange experience successful.


You will be a great fit for our team if you love talking travel and will always go the extra mile for your clients. You are a self-starter and focused on getting great results, but you don’t forget to have a good time whilst getting there. You are a person that is highly detail oriented, excels at building relationships, and understands the value of excellent service. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Following up with sales leads (via phone, video chat, email and social media) to educate them about our work and travel experiences and inspire them to sign up.
  • Organizing and coordinating every aspect of our customer’s experience (assistance with securing visas, giving informative orientations about their destination, answering any and all questions).
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of a wide range of travel destinations and itineraries, as well as visa procedures and requirements.
  • Work efficiently to ensure needs are met within our small team
  • Participate in research, content creation for social media, and other projects as needed


YOU MUST BE

  • Passionate about travel with an interest to encourage that spark in others
  • An effective communicator who enjoys connecting with people
  • Confident speaking on the phone and on video chat
  • An organizer with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Adaptable - change is the norm in our industry
  • A resourceful problem solver - you enjoy finding answers to challenging questions and solutions to travel related issues
  • A capable writer with professional email etiquette
  • Able to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Bilingual French-English is a major advantage


DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Post Secondary Education - life, travel, and work experience are also highly considered
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience living, studying, and/or working abroad
  • Experience in sales or travel industry is a plus
  • Previous experience in an office environment is desirable
  • Outgoing and confident personality
  • Fast learner, independent worker
