The Advanced Rare Isotope Laboratory (ARIEL) is the most significant expansion project in TRIUMF's history, and will be among the few purpose-built multi-user rare isotope facilities in the world. We are looking for someone to join our Project management team who is responsible for the management of the ARIEL project.
Managing schedule, budget, scope and risk for the ARIEL project
Working closely with sub-project leaders and project team members to maintain the schedule and pro-actively identify schedule risks and resolve issues
Work closely with sub-project leaders and the project accountant to manage project budget
Identify and manage project risk
Work with other TRIUMF stakeholders and service groups to manage project resources, tasks and priorities
Developing and maintaining project management documents required for successful project completion that abide by TRIUMF project governance process
Reporting progress periodically at review meetings to project leadership, TRIUMF management and external stakeholders
Participate in ongoing development and improvement of PMO processes and procedures by sharing best practices and experience.
Assist with other TRIUMF project management activities and responsibilities as required
There are no supervisory or performance management responsibilities in this role.
Experience on complex multi-year, multi-million dollar project(s) or program(s)
Strong abilities in project planning, executing, monitoring and control; building and managing complex task logic;
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
Sound technical and management judgement, with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple project activities
NUCLEAR ENERGY WORKER:
Training will be provided by TRIUMF.
At least 8 years of project management experience with demonstrated results leading large, complex project
