Project Manager - Multi family construction projects
Our client is a leading Vancouver based general contracting construction firm specializing in wood frame mixed use and multi-family projects, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. We are dedicated to creating innovative, sustainable, and high-quality residential and commercial spaces, and we are looking for a skilled professional who shares our commitment to excellence.
As a Project Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the successful execution of our wood frame construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Oversee and manage wood frame mixed use and multi-family construction projects from conception to completion.
# Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are well-defined and met.
# Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
# Review and approve construction documents, including blueprints, specifications, and building codes, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
# Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, including subcontractor management, material procurement, and quality control.
# Implement and maintain effective communication channels with clients, team members, and stakeholders to ensure project progress and challenges are effectively addressed.
# Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to prevent potential delays, cost overruns, or quality issues.
# Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among project team members.
# Prepare and present progress reports and updates to senior management and clients.
# Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
# A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in wood frame construction, specifically in mixed use and multi-family projects.
# Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes related to wood frame construction.
# Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, and other relevant tools, including AutoCAD and Revit.
# Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
# Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
# Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
# PMP or equivalent Project Management certification is a plus.
