Job Overview


The Development Coordinator will support the Philanthropy Department and Development team with donor engagement and revenue generation activities leading to the achievement of annual revenue goals and other measures of success. They will also participate in gift administration and stewardship to ensure a successful donor journey and improved retention rates for gifts at all levels


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Support the Development team with reporting, queries and lists
  • Lead and ensure data integrity with the CRM, ensuring donor contact information and preferences are continuously updated
  • Support gift of shares administration
  • Lead prospect research activities for the Development Team
  • Lead estate administration of bequest gifts
  • Act as project manager on Philanthropy multi-stakeholder projects
  • Support grant funding, including identifying opportunities and completing and submitting applications
  • Support Campaign activities, including administration, data integrity and moves management
  • Create and circulate event and meeting briefings, call reports, memos and other relevant documentation
  • Act as a backup for Donation Phone Line and Inbox
  • Demonstrate passion for Parkinson Canada’s mission
  • Actively contribute to our culture of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of recent, related work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to answer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • French language ability considered an asset.
  • Highly developed customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment and ensure donor satisfaction through first-call resolution.
  • A high degree of thoughtfulness and professionalism to build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior project management and organization skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online, TeamRaiser, and/or comparable online fundraising and nonprofit marketing tools.
