Contract HR Coordinator

Our client company is seeking an HR Coordinator for a three-month contract (with the high potential to become a permanent position). Responsibilities include day-to-day HR administration, recruitment, and policy implementation. The ideal candidate has strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and good HR knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Execute HR programs: compensation, benefits, talent management, etc.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices
- Assist in recruitment process and hiring
- Conduct background and reference checks
- Manage administrative tasks for onboarding and orientation
- Handle HR-related inquiries
- Implement and promote employee policies
- Prepare HR-related correspondence
- Assist in policy development and execution
- Participate in HR objectives and systems development
- Assist in benefits, compensation, and performance programs administration
- Support employee engagement initiatives
- Maintain employee files and records
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR management or related field
- 1-2 years of HR management experience
- Working towards CPHR designation is an asset
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR fundamentals
- Experience with HRIS/ATS/Payroll Systems
- Knowledge of BambooHR is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
