Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven and energetic Internal Wholesaler to join our growing team. In this role, the successful candidate will support the development of EquityLine's product offerings and sales, marketing and customer service strategies for Investment Professionals. This would be a great opportunity for individuals looking to get their start in capital markets.


What You Will Do:

  • Perform pro-active call and sales campaigns to promote EquityLine's product offerings to existing and potential clients
  • Generating referrals for your respective wholesalers
  • Completing daily outbound phone calls to generate leads and build relationships from a defined target segment of Investment Professionals
  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of various industries and financial products (Equities, Mutual Funds, ETFs, IPOs, Structured Products)
  • Perform account management and customer service duties for established clients
  • Respond to inquiries on products, fund management strategies, portfolio manager philosophies/processes/styles and industry trends
  • Develop sales campaigns and materials and assist in the delivery of sales presentations
  • Assist in responses to due diligence questionnaires
  • Perform (monthly, quarterly, etc.) territorial sales and asset reporting
  • Collect client and competitor information from Internet and other sources
  • Collaborating with your team to develop innovative strategies for your clients
  • Assist in administrative functions as required

What You Will Bring:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Previous business development or sales experience is an asset
  • Financial services designations are an asset (e.g. CSC, CFP, CIM, CFA)
  • Minimum 2 years financial services industry experience
  • Requires sound knowledge of securities, mutual fund products, and investment industry
  • Excellent PC skills – esp. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in managing relationships with clients
  • Ability to articulate compelling responses that effectively address objections while maintaining a positive dialogue
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills to provide effective solutions for clients
