What The Role Looks Like

As a Channel Partner Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in expanding our partner ecosystem and driving revenue growth through strategic channel partnerships. Your focus will be on identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with potential merchants sourced through our channel partners, enabling them to bring our solutions to their networks and drive mutual success.

A day in the life of this position includes:

  • Engaging prospective channel partners through various outreach methods, including networking, cold outreach to source and further develop merchant opportunities that live in the pipelines of FlexPay's partner eco-system.
  • Utilizing your discovery and prospecting skills to create a funnel of highly qualified channel merchants for our Sales team.
  • Qualifying and nurturing potential merchants by understanding their business models, customer bases, and alignment with our solutions.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create tailored outreach strategies, partner enablement materials, and co-marketing campaigns.
  • Executing and managing outbound campaigns including email sequences, calls, and LinkedIn prospecting focusing on merchants that have been shared by our channel partners.
  • Championing FlexPay, utilizing your knowledge of our product and the payments industry to develop qualified leads.
  • Qualifying leads through independent research.
  • Communicating with prospective partners via phone and email to follow up on previous communications and share tailored content on FlexPay's product and value proposition.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions and activities within SaleForce.
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly targets for lead generations and appointments set.
  • Staying informed on industry trends, competitors' activities, and company offerings.

Who We're Looking For

You are an experienced Business Development Representative with an understanding of the payments industry, and experience in building and managing channel partnership funnels. You have well-honed cold calling skills. You don't shy away from a challenge and thrive in a quota-oriented environment where you have experience hitting and exceeding targets. You are resilient and well-spoken and eager to make your mark on a small but dynamic team. You are always learning because you are genuinely curious and always looking to grow.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in channel partnership development, preferably within payments and/or fintech.
  • Knowledge of the payments industry, including payment processing and e-commerce platforms.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing engagement strategies to drive lead generation.
  • Experience working within SFDC.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with potential clients.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify and qualify leads.
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to successfully multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated and foal oriented.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to lead and adapt.
  • An adaptive learned who always strives for challenges.
  • Outside of the box thinking, someone who is not afraid to ask questions and look for new/different solutions.
  • Experience in a startup environment preferred.
