Job Summary
As an MSP Channel Development Manager for Spot PC, the individual is responsible for optimizing the success of an organization’s sales team by creating, developing, and deploying channel partner programs resulting in the generation of qualified partner leads that can be handed off to sales for closing. This is not a commissionable role as this role while influencing and working closely with sales, is not tied directly to revenue and sales transactions. Duties include creating and implementing channel partner lead generation activities resulting in a qualified partner pipeline approximately 10 times the number of new partners required in any given period. This role is focused on the Spot PC product and any future products in the Cloud Desktop space. Initial focus is on Managed Service Providers across defined worldwide geographies where Spot PC will be sold through partners.
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of the Managed Service Provider space. This can include MSP-centric vendor or roles working at a large MSP.
- MSP channel knowledge and experience is a plus. This includes channel development, management, and partnering programs.
- Experience creating, configuring, and managing lead generation activities including events, roadshows, campaigns, and social.
- Deep knowledge in connecting with MSPs and translating the technical and operational aspects of Spot PC to MSP value-drivers. Defining to and educating MSPs on how they can grow their business profitably and operate more efficiently as a result of partnering with Spot by NetApp.
- Develop the core collateral, training, and messaging requirements to establish Spot by NetApp as the MSP go-to partner for Cloud Desktop services
- Be both an advocate and a visible and respected resource for partner prospects and to the sales team to assist in demand generation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, product management, customer success, and the service and support organizations in a team environment to share best practices, coordinate content and integrate feedback into the partner program.
- Participate with assigned user groups and Partner Advisory Councils both within and external to Spot with the purpose to gain insight into requirements for program deliverables.
- A strong creative mindset is essential in finding ways to generate new qualified partner interest directly supporting our business plan.
- Financial and business skills to develop, manage and assure all activities are within the framework of our business plan meeting our spending and revenue objectives.
- Be a team player, work independently, and comfortable managing across the organization.
Education
