Job purpose

The Super User/ Operations Systems Analyst will serve as a key process improvement leader and the primary systems configuration and testing leader for the Canadian Distribution Center. In this capacity this role will be the primary liaison between Operations and Information Technology, they will interact with various levels of management and at times will assist with training and knowledge transfer for operational staff.

In order to perform the necessary responsibilities of this role, the Super User/ Operations Systems Analyst will develop a deep understanding of the setup, configuration, interfaces and internal process flows of all systems. The primary systems include Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS), Goods to Person pick execution system and Materials Handling system.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Act as internal SME regarding the functional capabilities of Shiseido’s WMS (Blue Yonder) platform and all connected systems
  • Will aggressively seek out bottlenecks in the fulfillment process and leverage system knowledge to make configuration changes or propose system enhancements
  • Gather and document requirements for projects, enhancements and troubleshooting potential defects
  • Provide extensive testing of system enhancements prior to implementation to prevent service disruptions
  • Leverage understanding of WMS and MHE when physical or systemic changes to the warehouse are being considered
  • Run reports and provide critical analysis of business data for the Operations staff
  • Will provide 1st level Go-Live and Production support for all application related issues through the ticketing system
  • Will serve as additional support for Training Program development and will support the Training Manager as needed, particularly as it relates to newly implemented processes
  • Identify opportunities to schedule / automate manual processes and improve proactive monitoring particularly in the area of helpdesk ticket prevention
  • Work with IT partners and assist with the design of all labels, operational and metric reports, and data conversion plans

  • Member of Operations team
  • Peer to Operations Supervisors
  • Liaison between Operations and IT
  • Corporate / Business Partners


Qualifications & Competencies

  • BA Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of related experience preferably in a pick pack/warehouse environment
  • General understanding of WMS applications.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Prior warehouse experience managing warehouse personnel and Operators is a plus.
  • Good analytical skills, problem solving, and must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to handle and perform multiple projects at one time
  • Must be able to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience producing test scripts and performing Quality Control tests for software development projects a plus
  • Experience configuring software solutions to meet business requirements
  • Strong ability to work with time/date deadlines
  • Ability to motivate and lead people
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
