Training and Development Specialist


Our client is currently seeking a full time Training and Development Specialist to join its team in Pickering, Ontario. In this role the candidate will be primarily focused on Kubota Canada's product lines and the provision of all training delivery methodologies, ranging from online learning to supporting instructor-led events.


Responsibilities:


  • Works collaboratively with internal business units and their subject matter experts to develop, produce and deliver learning solutions across independent, instructor-led and blended modalities, that apply the concepts of adult learning and instructional design.Conducts needs assessment and task analysis with subject matter experts using sound design principles to identify and define potential learning strategies and solutions.Utilize instructional design documentation to assess, plan, and develop sound learning solutions for independent, blended and/or instructor-led classes.Review and analyze existing courses; develop concepts and strategies to adapt and repurpose existing course content into other modalities, additional experiences, and/or performance support tools; design and develop identified learning materials accordingly.Develop and support the creation of in-field learning assets, such as printed materials or job aids, to supplement in-person training sessions and enhance participants' learning experience.Facilitate or co-facilitate product information sessions during learning events as required or trained, ensuring dealership staff gain a comprehensive understanding of Kubota's product lines.
  • Conduct product demonstrations during learning events to showcase key features and functionalities, engaging participants and reinforcing learning objectives.Monitor the functionality and performance of the LMS on a regular basis, ensuring smooth operation and user accessibility.
  • Collaborate with the dedicated LMS administrator to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve user inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Assist with the implementation of updates, upgrades, and integrations within the LMS platform to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Research industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in instructional design, e-learning, and adult learning theory to stay abreast of advancements and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and innovation in learning methodologies, tools, and strategies.


Requirements:


  • Diploma/university degree in a related to the field of instructional design or adult education and training;
  • Experience with OEM product lines and their related information, particularly in the context of developing learning solutions and facilitating training sessions;
  • Bilingualism – fluency in English and French is considered a valuable asset;
  • Sound knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and methods of evaluation;.Strong working knowledge of a variety of learning authoring tools;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities;
  • Experience in developing learning solution assets through software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate 360 SuiteExperience in facilitating in-person learning events or workshops;
  • Excellent computer skills and fluency – PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
