Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable (AP) department. This role involves managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The Accounts Payable Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient financial processes within the organization.
Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
- Oversee the vendor account set-up process.
- Standardize and maintain written process documentation for vendor-specific invoicing procedures.
Invoice Processing:
- Manage the end-to-end AP process, including invoice approval workflow.
- Ensure accurate recording of invoices in the accounting system.
- Handle internal and external payment inquiries.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow related to accounts payable.
- Prioritize payments to optimize cash management.
Financial Records:
- Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency.
- Implement effective systems and procedures to enhance AP operations.
Employee Expense Management:
- Manage employee credit card charges and expense reporting.
Leadership:
- Manage a team of Accounts Payable technicians
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable
- Managerial/leadership experience is a must as this role will manage a team of APs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
